SOCIAL MEDIA

VIDEO CONTENT: BOUTIQUE HOTEL AND FINE DINING

Utilizing video content plays a part in my social media strategy for all property profiles; however, I’ve noticed that video tends to perform well for some of our profiles and not as well as, say, carousels for others. Regardless, I believe having varied content types is a good way to keep users engaged and to be able to test what resonates most with them. Below, you’ll find some of the video content I’ve created while Marketing Manager for Hotel Vandivort, Vantage Rooftop Lounge & Conservatory, and The Order Food & Drink.

INSTAGRAM PROFILE: COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS

In 2019 as a junior in college, I was tasked with creating an Instagram account as part of a New Media Theory course. At this point, I was already creating content for myself and also for brands, so I utilized my experience to create an account that grew more of a following than I had anticipated. Because the college had an inactive account (@college_of_the_ozarks), I took advantage of the available @collegeoftheozarks handle. This account became recognized by many prospective and current students as the official account, and they would tag the account in posts of their own and in their bios while students.

In late 2023, College of the Ozarks reached out to me directly, hoping that I would give them this account. Because my work had gone into the project that had continued to gain followers even while inactive, I felt uncomfortable handing over the account my efforts went into and that helped to propel my social media management services later on. I allowed them to have the @collegeoftheozarks handle, hence my current @hard.work.u handle.

This photo attracted the team at 417 Magazine, and in 2022, they reached out to me to ask permission to use this photo in their publication.

EMAIL MARKETING

As many marketers know, updating portfolios and keeping record of projects isn’t always a top-of-mind task. When it comes to my work in email marketing, I have only recently remembered to save campaigns, and those are shown below. I have learned my lesson, though, and will be remembering to save more of my work in the future.

PINTEREST GROWTH STRATEGY PROJECT

On August 10, 2023, I created a new Pinterest account and built a strategy to increase monthly impressions. Utilizing keyword research and recognizing that Pinterest operates more as a search engine and less as a social media platform, I built a strategy for my content.

Within thirty days, I had garnered over 100k monthly views, and I have managed to maintain this level of viewership through keyword research and strategic content creation. Additionally, I have been able to generate income through affiliate marketing and my Pinterest content.

Skills used:

Insights for Sept.-Dec., 2023

WEBSITE BUILDING, DESIGN, & MANAGEMENT

ANNIESOWELLBLOG.COM

You’re already here! I started this blog in 2019 as “Scholar In Style” (scholarinstyle.com), where I posted about fashion and navigating my early career as an emerging college graduate. Just as I have changed over time, my website has as well. This site is now home to occasional blog posts when I get the chance and feel especially inspired. Because I work in creative roles, I often direct most of my energy and focus toward the tasks associated with them. I hope that in the future, I’ll have the opportunity to give this site the attention it deserves and take it to the place I envision.

MCSO.AR.GOV (Madison County Sheriff’s Office)

This was quite the project to take on! When setting out to design and build this website, I was starting completely from scratch and without access to the government domain. Working with the state of Arkansas to obtain access and approval for use while also conducting research on law enforcement agency websites throughout the country, I crafted a website that is simple in its layout and design but provides much needed communication channels for the agency. Prior to this site’s existence, all requests, questions, or comments were communicated through email or dispatch. Through the use of forms on the new site, submissions are sent directly to the proper individuals or teams within the agency, eliminating miscommunication or lack of response.

BYRONSCHRAMM.COM

Byron and I began working together in early 2024. I revamped his website to give it the vintage feel he was going for, but this is still a work in progress! As we create and upload more content together, we are working to develop a more well-rounded personal brand to position him as a leader in his industry.

TANEYCOUNTYPARTNERSHIP.ORG

In early 2021, I was hired to assist with the rebranding efforts of the Taney County Partnership. Working alongside Madden Media, we crafted this site to be a simple and straight-forward resource for investors, stakeholders, and community members.

BRANSON.COM

In fall of 2020, I gave Branson.com a fresh look to better reflect the ease of the new online booking process. Modeling it more after a hotel’s website, I added a block to begin the booking process to the home page, simplifying the site for the user.

RONNIEBOYDFORSHERIFF.COM (2022 Election, Now Inactive)

Though this site is no longer available to view post-election, I did want to include it here. I built a simple candidate site that featured a robust home page, brief “about” page, and qualifications and endorsements. I was also able to streamline the contribution process through the website using PayPal.
